Ireland Honors Acunetx's CEO as 1 of 50 Irish-Americans who have contributed to the Life Sciences

TORRANCE, CA. – May 24, 2010 – AcuNetx, Inc. announced today that its Chairman and CEO, Robert S. Corrigan, has been recognized as one of fifty Irish-Americans who have contributed to the life sciences.

The honor, jointly presented by the Irish Voice newspaper, Irish America Magazine and the Irish government, recognizes the achievements of Irish-Americans in the field of the Life Sciences.   Mr. Corrigan and all recipients of the prestigious tribute were honored at an award ceremony held on May 20, 2010 at the Irish Consulate in New York City.   The President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, attended the reception to bestow the awards in celebration of the Irish Life Science 50.

Following the ceremony, Mr Corrigan commented “I’m deeply honored to have received this recog-nition and to have had an opportunity to meet with and talk to my fellow honorees, including  Dr. James Watson, who along with Frances Crick, received the Nobel prize for their discovery of  the actual structure of the DNA molecule.”
