AcuNetx's Subsidary Tapped For National Conference

Torrance, California, May 22, 2007

"AcuNetx (OTC BB - ANTX),announced today that its VisioNetx subsidiary has been invited to present a workshop on its ClearCheck™ impairment screening system to the Annual Innovative Technologies for Community Corrections Conference. This is sponsored by the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center, a program of the National Institute of Justice's Office of Science and Technology. Professionals from all areas of community corrections including probation, parole, pretrial, treatment providers and work-release programs are expected to attend this conference.

In 2006, over 2.1 million prisoners were held in Federal or State prisons or in local jails. A majority of state inmates (53 percent) and almost half of federal inmates (45 percent) were abusing or were dependent on drugs in the year before their admission to prison. Lessening the costs involved in the drug testing of this prison population, especially those in drug treatment programs, is the goal of including ClearCheck™ as an adjunct to the current urine testing program

" The workshop, to be held in St. Louis (June 6th), will present data derived from the use of ClearCheck™ over a two-year period in a prison setting documenting financial and personnel time savings.

" Ron Waldorf, CEO of AcuNetx and the co-inventor of ClearCheck™ will be assisted by Sgt. Richard Studdard who is the founder of the national Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Program, and is a retired 30 year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). Prior to his retirement, he was the officer-in-charge of the LAPD DRE Unit and the DRE Training Coordinator for the State of California. He was also a Special Consultant on the Drug Evaluation and Classification Program, Technical Advisory Panel, International Association of Chiefs of Police.
